We wanted to make you aware of a temporary change to our building’s fire alarm system. Please disseminate this information to your teams (employees and students who use the Lawrence Street Center).
During yesterday’s fire drill we discovered that the horn (audible) portion of the fire alarm system is offline and will need to be repaired. We understand how important clear and reliable alerts are for everyone’s safety, and we are working to restore full functionality as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, please know that all other portions of the fire alarm system are fully operational. This includes:
-
Strobe lights
-
Automatic alerts to the Denver Fire Department
-
The building’s sprinkler system
We have also activated a 24/7 fire watch throughout the building until repairs are complete.
If you see flashing strobe lights or are directed by fire watch personnel to evacuate, please follow all standard evacuation protocols immediately. Your safety remains our top priority.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation while we complete these repairs. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. We will send another email when the repairs are complete.
Thank you for your attention and partnership in keeping our workplace safe.
