- Student applies in scholarship portal and then they are matched with awards that they are eligible for (internal and external).
- Program specific scholarship are sent to the program faculty who can review.
- The Student Committee reviews the applicants for the Alumni and School of Education award applications.
- After the semester closes financially Sandy will see if there are unspent funds and reallocate based on the ratings.
- Outstanding Graduate Award
- Needs to be revised, the process is not equitable nor is it working very effectively.
- Is it important to have Outstanding Graduates Awards?
- If we continue with this process, we need to ensure that it has some value to students (e.g., a certificate or official award letter to use for job/graduate school applications).
- Need to simplify and streamline, if we keep this process
- Need to work towards more equitable information for review
- We should invite the SEHD to participate in this conversation. Either to make this process more meaningful or to get rid of this process more generally.
