- Review Outstanding Graduate Nominations and Make Selections
- The group selected a summer/fall outstanding graduate. The group continues to remain concerned about the equity and effectiveness of the nomination process, which is on the agenda to discuss next month.
- Update from last year’s projects
- Form available (https://ucdenverdata.formstack.com/forms/student_opportunities) where information about student opportunities can be entered.
- The committee is wondering:
- Can students access information that is posted?
- Who is able to monitor this information (e.g., remove things which are outdated)?
- Last year’s meeting minutes are available via Google Document. Reach out to ITG about how to house committee materials so that they are not connected to an individual.
- The committee asked for reminders about the timeline for when we would hear about any student appeals. Rebecca Schell said that she would notify the committee as soon as they hear of anything, but there isn’t a set timeline.
Goals and Tasks for the Committee for the Year:
- Revise the awards and scholarships processes
- Ensure the Job/Opportunity form is accessible, used, and students can connect with the opportunities
- Respond to student concerns and appeals
