We are pleased to officially inform you that the AERA 2019 Annual Meeting Call for Submissions is available on the AERA website. The submission portal will open on June 1 at 12:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time. We encourage you to consider a paper or session submission to a division, special interest group (SIG), or committee that best aligns with your research interests. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM, Pacific Time, on July 23. 2018.
The 2019 Annual Meeting will be held on April 5-9, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The overall theme is “Leveraging Education Research in a “Post-Truth” Era: Multimodal Narratives to Democratize Evidence.”
We hope that you will consider a submission in response to the Call. The theme advanced by AERA President Amy Stuart Wells, and Co-Chairs Jennifer Jellison Holme and Janelle T. Scott presses us to reach beyond our silos and single perspectives and work collaboratively across the borders and boundaries of our field.
The last AERA Annual Meeting in Toronto was in 1978. We are now returning after four decades to create an Annual Meeting that attracts broad participation worldwide. This meeting will provide an opportunity to share research, assess the state of our knowledge, and explore how our work can become more relevant to diverse communities, publics, practitioners, and policy makers.
