Happy National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. As we all return to SEHD in preparation for the spring semester, many of us may find it helpful to review the particular dates of cultural, religious, and heritage observations that some of our students might observe throughout the semester. In finalizing your syllabi, consider the Cultural and Heritage Observances Calendar as you review assignment due dates, meetings, and class-related events. Keep in mind, too, that Ramadan begins on February 18, concluding on March 19. During this window, any observant students will likely fast during the day (through sunset), consider this when planning any events that will involve meals.
