- Student grade appeal process
- The discussion focused on two key issues. One issue is addressing the current appeal. The second issue is the need for a longer conversation about the appeal process and the gaps we have identified in the process based on this appeal.
- The committee will ask for more information, review the appeal, and make a decision during their meeting on 11/4/24
- Actions:
- The committee created an email to Sandy Mondragon asking if the instructor had been allowed to respond to the written appeal and, if not, we need that information to consider this appeal. They also requested that the student be notified that the committee is working on the appeal but needs more information.
- Visit from Dean Lynn and Associate Dean Garrison-Wade.
- Associate Dean Garrison-Wade suggested the committee meet with student groups. The committee agreed this was a great suggestion.
- The committee discussed the need to review and improve the appeal process with leadership.
- Dean Lynn will invite the committee chair to a leadership team meeting to discuss this issue.
