- GENERAL BUSINESS & REVIEW/DISCUSSIONS:
Discussions from Feb 5 working meeting and next steps for the March 4 meeting:
- Review the syllabus template, added comments on what the committee would like to change/revise.
- Instructor Approval Letters – the letter templates were revised, we will review the letters at the next meeting, then send the final letters to the AD for Faculty Affairs for approval.
2. COURSE PROPOSAL/REVISION REQUESTS:

- Cross listing the current doctoral course at the MA level to open the course to MA students.
- The committee recommended reviewing the course title to see if there is a name that encompasses the full scope of the course, this may broaden the audience.
Approved LCRT 4710/5710 Revision Erica Holyoke
Title: Inclusive Early Literacy Development and Instruction
- Revised the title and course description to reflect the changes to the new Reading Specialist standards.
- Additionally, RLE is applying for International Literacy Association (ILA) and updated the course based on this application.
Approved CLDE 5070 Revision Chris Carson
Title: Understanding Language in the Classroom
- Updated the title and course description to shift the course from an English grammar course to a broader multilingual focus.
