Prosocial Leader Certificate Courses          Laura Summers & Julia Mahfouz

  • The Prosocial Leader certificate is for any school leader who is interested in leading a schoolwide SEL
    • EDUC/INTE 5401: Leading with Social and Emotional Learning in Mind
      • This is an overview course which enables administrators to understand SEL and plan to increase SEL in their schools and districts
    • EDUC/INTE 5402: Cultivating Awareness and Resilience for Administrators
      • Course adopts an experimental approach. Leaders will practice and understand how relationship building and mindfulness can support administrator effectiveness
      • Committee comments – look for ways to add a social justice and equity lens
    • EDUC/INTE 5403: Systematic Implementation of SEL
      • Practiced based course. Leaders will practice relationship building strategies, establish supportive learning environments, draft action steps within an evaluation plan, and create strategies for engaging the school community in learning from the data
