This study explores whether the discourse in journal articles published since 2017 in Critical Queer Theory enacts whiteness. Articles were blinded and then randomly selected for a four-part analysis. Data saturation was reached after 10 articles were analyzed. The results found that 2 of the 10 articles did not enact whiteness; the remaining articles enacted whiteness through either elision or use of monolithic identity.
