EIGHTH GRADE – Advance Screening Invitation July 19th

Dear Colleagues,

Please see the email below from Abigail Glaessner.

My name is Abigail Glaessner and I’m working with A24 on their upcoming film EIGHTH GRADE, opening in Denver on Friday, July 27. We’re hosting an advance screening of the film on Thursday, July 19th and I wanted to extend an invite to the CU Denver Department of Education & Human Development staff, students, friends, and family to attend and enjoy.

The film is written and directed by Bo Burnham and is all about the struggles and awkwardness of eighth grade, especially these days with the added social media components and pressure – something we can ALL relate to, middle school or not. You can watch the latest trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8lFgF_IjPw .

Below are the screening details – please let me know if you’d like to attend (or send people), happy to accommodate however many you need.

Thursday, July 19 at 7:00pm at Harkins Northfield Stapleton (8300 Northfield Blvd, Denver)

Full synopsis: Thirteen-year-old Kayla endures the tidal wave of contemporary suburban adolescence as she makes her way through the last week of middle school—the end of her thus far disastrous eighth grade year—before she begins high school.

Thanks!
Abigail
