Dr. Luis Urrieta will be visiting the CU Boulder campus and speaking on the topic of “Cultural Constructions of Identity in Education” on June 20th. Professor Urrieta is the inaugural Suzanne B.and John L. Adams Professor of Education at the University of Texas at Austin. He specializes in the study of identity with an emphasis on Chicanx, Latinx, and Indigenous (P’urhépecha) identities; Mexican indigenous education, migrations and diasporas, and learning in family and community context.
