Dr. Jorge Chavez will hold a Presentation on Wednesday March 7th

Dr. Jorge Chavez is an Associate Professor in the Sociology Department at Bowling Green State University.  His research interest includes the role of family, school and community contexts on the educational success of Latino adolescents.  His research also explores social and mental health factors from a developmental and ecological context (family, school, community). Finally, his research has also examined through social and ecological perspectives factors including behaviors, crime & violence, and mental health problems. Dr. Chavez is also very active in outreach with under-served adolescents, families and schools in northwest Ohio.
