Recently the Obama Administration launched a cross-agency initiative to expand inclusionary service options for young children with special needs. The group is comprised of high-level administrators in the US department of Education, Health and Human Services, Head Start Bureau, Child Care Bureau and Centers for Disease Control. Wednesday the 27th of August Dr. Phil Strain, Professor of Educational Psychology presented an hour webinar to the federal officials highlighting research supporting preschool inclusion and dispelling various myths inhibiting the expansion of inclusive services.
