Valley Hope of Parker is a short-term residential treatment facility for substance abuse disorders. Patients typically stay up to 30 days and receive intensive education, group and individual therapy as they begin their journey in recovery. Interns will carry a caseload of patients and serve as a primary counselor for patients completing the program. Due to regulatory requirements, interns must have at least a Certified Addiction Counselor II (CAC II) to conduct counseling at our facility. Interns will receive individual supervision from a Licensed Psychologist/Licensed Addiction Counselor and also participate in group supervision and daily staff meetings.
Specific Job Duties Include:

• Management, integration and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for all assigned patients

• Effective collaboration with all members of the treatment planning team

• Timely and high quality production of all supporting documentation

• Ensuring effective communication and participation with all relevant and interested external parties; including family members, agencies, managed care organizations and insurance companies

• Planning and assisting with the implementation of continuing care for all assigned patients

• Participating in all required in-service training sessions
