We need to find a lecturer for the 3rd section of RSEM 7003 this fall semester, scheduled on Saturdays (hybrid). We are looking for someone who is interested in teaching as part of their regular load in 2017/18.
This class is the 3rd in the 3-course sequence of research preparation for all EdD students. It is pretty set in details, and a sandbox of resources, materials, readings, is all set up. The 3 section instructors stay in close communication with each other and with Kent Seidel throughout the semester. The course is mostly about qualitative research with a practitioner’s focus on application. Specifically: review data collection and methodologies in qual, in depth practice with coding, DeDoose software, inter-rater reliability, triangulation and constant comparison, theme creation, and writing styles in qual. Additional topics include correlation and regression analysis focused on “how-to” and application as well as research ethics.
