We have some great news for our EMS users. We will be implementing a software upgrade of EMS (room scheduling system) for the University of Colorado Denver and Anschutz Medical Campuses effective April 27, 2018. This upgrade will provide a more intuitive, streamlined, modern interface for users, including a tightened system security, more user friendly web application (formally referred to as our Virtual EMS), and improvements in the Outlook interface. The upgrade also offers a new mobile app that will be deployed at a future date.
In an effort to make this a smooth transition for EMS users, we have scheduled a series of user-training sessions and will provide user documentation prior to the rollout of the upgrade, as well as follow-up sessions. The upcoming training sessions will be focused on our EMS web users (i.e., how to find the right space for the right task and quickly and conveniently access EMS through the Web App). EMS users are faculty, staff, and students who book conference rooms, meeting rooms, events, classrooms, and services. We strongly encourage everyone who uses EMS to attend one of these sessions prior to the software upgrade next month. Following are a list of scheduled training sessions to help prepare for the upgrade. Instructions for using the new room scheduling software will be distributed at these training sessions. |
