SEHD is honored to host the 13th Colorado Annual Future Teacher Expo on Friday, October 9th. This multi-institutional event promotes the state’s undergraduate teacher education programs to local high school and community college students. Last year, over 250 students participated and this year we anticipate serving more than 500. There will be a session on October 9 in Denver and October 20 in Pueblo. The Denver program includes a keynote address from DPS teacher Kyle Schwartz who made national news for tweeting the experiences of her students – #IWishMyTeacherKnew. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample college-level classes, explore local undergraduate teacher preparation programs, and engage with teacher candidates and practicing teachers.
