Hello UCD Counseling Internship and Practicum Students,
We are pleased to announce that the we are piloting a Field Experience Opportunity between Aurora Fire Rescue and UC Denver Counseling Program beginning this Summer Semester 2016. Participation consists of two 9-hour ride-along opportunities as an internship student. This is a great engagement opportunity for you, to experience the daily life of firefighters and their unique strengths and challenges. We are requesting that you complete a short survey, so we are able to ascertain potential interest.
Space is limited for Summer Semester, so please respond ASAP. You must submit your response by Friday April 15th, 2016 to be considered. This is a unique opportunity to earn internship hours while also learning about a niche culture that will expand your working knowledge as a future clinician. For those who are interested in the fall semester, please indicate in the application.
Please follow the link to the form and submit your responses. We will hold a brief informational/orientation meeting during finals week for the Spring Semester (the week of May 9th, 2016) for those who are selected to participate in the Summer. We will keep you updated as information changes.
