Greetings University Counseling Faculty and Staff,
Noeticus Counseling Center and Training Institute would like to remind you that our clinical practicum, internship, and externship placement process is once again open for your students who are interested in joining our training team. At the master’s level, we have pre-internship practicum placements that are approximately one semester (or 4 months), internship placements that are 12 months, and new externship placements that are also 12 months with renewable contracts. At the doctoral level we are typically able to provide pre-internship practicum training. The next training cycle for our clinical training positions begins either May 2015 or August 2015 and the application period goes from January 1 through February 15, 2015. We will only be collecting application materials during this time frame and not scheduling any interviews until after the application deadline for this start date, which once again is February 15, 2015, so please help communicate this information to your students.
Noeticus Counseling Center is a community-based, not-for-profit organization located in the heart of Denver, Colorado. Our mission is to provide innovative, affordable, and socially-just counseling and psychotherapy services to a variety of individuals, couples, and families within the greater Denver/Boulder community, as well as basic and advanced clinical training opportunities to mental health professionals both locally and across the country. In terms of our clinical training model, we use a highly structured, cohort-based, developmentally-sequenced skill acquisition framework as the foundation for all of our training programs. This model provides both support and structure for our trainees (both students and clinicians) as they navigate within and through our various training programs.
Our training program is designed to support your students (and our alumni) in successfully establishing themselves at the end of their clinical training period as integral members of clinical treatment teams or as ethically developed, clinically-sound independent practitioners. This is an excellent placement for motivated individuals looking for a training experience that teaches the skills and tools necessary for a successful private practice along with the benefits of a supportive, involved, diverse, and creative clinical team. To learn more about the requirements and expectations for our internship program, as well as our many other clinical training opportunities, please visit our website at: http://www.noeticus.org/Training_Overview.html (Note: This may be a different link from previous emails – please check and update your records as necessary.)

As a reminder, the application deadline for both the May and August 2015 placement start dates is February 15, 2015. No interviews will happen BEFORE that date and no applications will be accepted AFTER that date, so please make sure your students know they must submit all materials by that time. For your convenience a copy of the most current Job Descriptions and Clinical Placement Universal Application have been attached to this email. Please replace older copies with the newest versions of these documents as they are frequently updated. (If they have been removed by email scrubbing software, all of them are available on our website.)
