The UC Denver Student and Community Counseling Center announces position openings for one or two externs beginning January, 2016.
Externs provide mental health counseling for UC Denver students on a volunteer basis, working with adult individuals, couples and/or groups. The position involves a commitment to work a minimum of 15-20 flexible hours per week. A one year commitment to the center is requested. Externs receive weekly individual supervision toward licensure and will also receive some group supervision hours. Flexible professional development opportunities include: gaining specialty in higher education mental health, experience with program development, and being part of a dynamic and supportive staff. Funds permitting, parking vouchers will be provided.
Candidates are expected to hold an MA in counseling psychology or related field, and an NCC credential. Interviews will be held November 5th.
