We are looking for graduate students to co-lead therapeutic skills groups for 9-11 year old children placed in foster care due to abuse and/or neglect. This is an unpaid position; the hours from this position could be counted for internship hours if completed during your internship. Dinner is provided each group night. The position would require working:
- One or two evenings per week from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.; and
- 2-3 additional hours during the week per group for supervision and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and staff members. Supervision will be provided by a licensed professional.
Successful candidates will 1) be working toward a graduate degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field, and 2) have some experience leading skills-oriented groups. An understanding and appreciation of clinically-oriented research and experience with case management and high risk youth are also desirable.
This is a nine (9) month position and will begin in September of 2015.
