Just a reminder..
In your planning for Internship, please keep in mind that you should plan on internship for at least 2 semesters. While some student have been able to complete internship in one semester, this is not typical. School track students are typically able to complete their internship in one semester. There are many factors that go into how long it will take you to complete internship
- Your availability
- The site’s needs
- Your responsibilities outside of school (work, family, fun etc..)
- Client’s availability (client’s don’t always show up)
Also, please remember that you are required to register for either 3 or 6 credits of internship each semester, so please plan accordingly. Students are required to register and complete 6 credit hours of internship, overall.
Lastly, it’s never too early to start planning for internship. Several sites are having interviews close to a year out.
