Attached is an article on the initiative from the latest issue of the <a href=\"http:\/\/sehd.ucdenver.edu\/impact\/files\/JAAL-article-Becoming-Literate-Digitally-Domain-of-OnesOwn.pdf\">Journal of Adolescent &amp; Adult Literacy on Becoming Literate Digitally<\/a> (PDF) &#8211; thank you Lori Elliot!<\/p>\n<p>This initiative involves personalized\u00a0web sites for students and faculty that are, in effect, online scholarly portfolios. \u00a0This is a pedagogical philosophy that emphasizes moving <em>people<\/em> online, as opposed to moving <em>courses<\/em> online. \u00a0This is being done at a number of universities across the country including and the University of Michigan College of Arts &amp; Letters, whose Dean\u00a0explains below.
