{"id":9391,"date":"2017-02-27T18:27:55","date_gmt":"2017-02-27T18:27:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sehd.ucdenver.edu\/impact\/?p=9391"},"modified":"2017-02-27T18:27:55","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T18:27:55","slug":"february-9-2017-sac-meeting-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sehd.ucdenver.edu\/impact\/2017\/02\/27\/february-9-2017-sac-meeting-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"February 9, 2017 \u2013 SAC Meeting Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>MINUTES<\/h1>\n<p><strong>SEHD SAC Meeting<\/strong><br \/>\nThursday, February 9 2017 at 4p.m.<br \/>\nLocation: Lawrence Street Center, Room 620<br \/>\nIn Attendance: Aswad Allen, Amy Boele, Jessica Coon, Rachel Cornelius, Dorothy Garrison-Wade, Shelley Gomez, Lindsay Harn, Tony Romero, Bridget Sabo<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Items Discussed<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diversity Team\n<ul>\n<li>Diversity committee has always been given time at retreats and faculty meetings \u2013 Can we create time in our Staff meetings for them to present.<\/li>\n<li>Diversity committee is a faculty committee by the bylaws, but that does not mean a staff member cannot serve on it.<\/li>\n<li>Diversity Committee has the ability to ad-hoc in a staff member to participate in the conversations.<\/li>\n<li>SAC making the invitations more clear that Faculty is really wanted.<\/li>\n<li>SAC being more mindful about picking dates for all SEHD events and getting faculty input to build more attendance and inclusion.<\/li>\n<li>Dorothy wants one of the SAC members to come and promote the events in\/at the faculty meetings.
