A few points of interest about our learning spaces this week…<\/p>\n

\"extron\"<\/p>\n

(1) Classroom Tech:<\/strong> The SEHD TechTeam is wrapping up classroom technology upgrades\u00a0throughout the school (rooms 600, 648, 745 and 1150). \u00a0Most audio\/video components have been changed out – please expect a newer\/easier classroom tech experience. \u00a0Primarily, there is a new control system\u00a0– –\u00a0the button panel on the wall. \u00a0 It is all very\u00a0straight-forward, but if you have ANY<\/strong> problems or questions please let us know at sehdhelp@ucdenver.edu<\/a> or\u00a0303-315-6350.<\/p>\n

\"surface\"(2) Mobile Labs:<\/strong> The mobile laptop carts have\u00a0been upgraded to mobile tablet carts. \u00a0We have one cart of 25\u00a0Microsoft Surface Pro<\/a>\u00a0tablets with SPSS installed, and we have a cart of 30\u00a0iPad Pros<\/a> (small) \u00a0as well. \u00a0These carts are available for “check-out” in the LSC for class\/student use<\/strong>. \u00a0We will be expanding the inventory of tablet apps and promoting their use as the year rolls out. \u00a0If you have ideas or recommendations for apps – please let us know! \u00a0 Please send all requests to\u00a0sehdhelp@ucdenver.edu<\/a> or\u00a0303-315-6350 with plenty of notice so we can plan and track appropriately.<\/p>\n

\"zoom\"(3) Zoom:<\/strong> All CU faculty, staff and students have unlimited Zoom accounts. \u00a0You may host up to 100 people in one “room” without time limits. \u00a0You must use your CU Denver Zoom account to take advantage of this license – you may login at http:\/\/ucdenver.zoom.us<\/a>\u00a0and\/or run Zoom on your desktop (be sure to login w your @ucdenver.edu email). \u00a0 Because individual use is unlimited, we are no longer allocating ‘zoom-rooms’ to specific Canvas courses, as this is a significant drain on resources.<\/strong> \u00a0If you’d like a 1:1 session on Zoom or assistance with setting it up in your course, please let us know – we’re happy to help. \u00a0Please send all requests to\u00a0sehdhelp@ucdenver.edu<\/a> or\u00a0303-315-6350 with plenty of notice so we can plan and track appropriately.<\/p>\n

(4) Canvas:<\/strong> Canvas shells should be automagically created for you already in synch with the CU-SIS course schedule. \u00a0If you have any problems, questions or challenges in preparing your online\/hybrid courses, the TechTA team can help. \u00a0Please send all requests to\u00a0sehdhelp@ucdenver.edu<\/a> or\u00a0303-315-6350 so we can keep proper track.<\/p>\n

(5) Canvas Training:<\/strong> CU Online is offering a variety of training sessions this week and next. \u00a0Here is a snapshot of their current schedule<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Lawrence Street Center 1201.<\/p>\n
