Please stop by to welcome the <b>CFD\u2019s new director Dr. Margaret Wood<\/b> and our featured artist, Vivian George, Senior Instructor in the Painting\/Drawing Program, College of Arts &amp; Media. George\u2019s colorful abstract oil paintings begin with a few loosely placed brushstrokes on a ground of color, setting off a sweep of movement and rhythm. George states: \u201cThe thrust of the stroke and the selection of color can seem random to me yet are most likely determined by a host of extrinsic and internal factors \u2013 past experience, current mood, heaviness and adventure.\u201d Her drawings come from her interest in creating a deep field of vision in a small space.
