If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kelly directly (info below).<\/p>\n<p><b>AI Assistance<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Our collections team would like to provide some guidance for our rapidly changing Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape. As you consider your research methodologies and process with library resources, we invite you to review our <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.auraria.edu\/ai\" rel=\"noopener\">AI at Auraria Library research guide<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Access to and use of electronic resources, including text and data mining (TDM) and uploading library-licensed content to any type of AI or large language model, is managed according to publisher license agreements. If you have questions for a specific research project use case, please <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/services\/askus\" rel=\"noopener\">reach out to the library<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Open Access Publishing<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Our license agreements also include assistance in publishing your research open access when possible! These Transformative Agreements are one way Auraria Library supports your research, and they <b>provide either discounted or waived article processing charges (APCs)<\/b> for authors from Auraria Campus. Explore our <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/faculty-resources\/open-access-publishing\" rel=\"noopener\">Open Access Publishing webpage<\/a> resources for more information about which publishers and journals are currently eligible!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Research Assistance<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Use our <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/services\/askus\" rel=\"noopener\">Ask Us page<\/a> to access multiple ways you and others can contact us including via chat (a real person answers!), email, text, and in person.<\/li>\n<li>Read through our <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/instruction-services\" rel=\"noopener\">Instruction Services<\/a> to learn about the types of instruction sessions offered by the library.<\/li>\n<li>Schedule a <a href=\"https:\/\/auraria-libcal-com.aurarialibrary.idm.oclc.org\/appointments\" rel=\"noopener\">research consultation<\/a> to meet one on one with a librarian.<\/li>\n<li>Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.authorsalliance.org\/2026\/08\/18\/announcing-our-fall-workshop-series-for-new-academic-authors\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Fall Workshop Series for New Academic Authors<\/a> from the Authors Alliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Spaces<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/innovation-garage\" rel=\"noopener\">Innovation Garage<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/dms\" rel=\"noopener\">Digital Media Studio<\/a> to design and create 3D objects, print posters, photograph art projects, and more.<\/li>\n<li>Book one of our <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/services\/study-rooms\" rel=\"noopener\">study rooms<\/a>. Reservations can be made in 30-minute blocks for up to 4 hours per reservation and can be made up to 30 days in advance.<\/li>\n<li>If you need a silent room to work or relax in, visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/about\/spaces\/deep-quiet-study\" rel=\"noopener\">Deep Quiet Study<\/a> space on the second floor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Events<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Ken Salazar will visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/auraria.libcal.com\/event\/17715415?utm_source=Auraria+Library+26-27+External&amp;utm_campaign=f9efd9ee15-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2026_08_07_06_11_COPY_01&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_-a7b67860d9-458139208\" rel=\"noopener\">Auraria Library Cafe Tuesday, 10\/13<\/a> to talk about and sign his new book <i>Borderlands<\/i>, which chronicles his path from his family\u2019s San Luis Valley ranch to his leadership roles as a U.S. Senator, Secretary of the Interior, and U.S. Ambassador to Mexico. Hosted by MSU Denver\u2019s Project for Humanistic Inquiry.<\/li>\n<li>Next week is <a href=\"https:\/\/auraria.libcal.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Banned Books Week<\/a> and the Auraria Library will host three events to honor this annual effort. Tuesday (10\/6) we host a Drag Storytime from 1\u20132 p.m. in the Cafe, and Wednesday (10\/7) we host a 1\u20133 p.m. read-a-thon over lunch in Room 116. The week\u2019s events wrap Thursday with a 12:15 p.m. film screening of The Librarians (10\/8).<\/li>\n<li>A documentary on an effort to update Library of Congress anti-immigration subject headings, <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/news\/2026\/auraria-library-effort-film-screening-target-bias-subject-headings\" rel=\"noopener\">Change the Subject, screens at the Auraria Library 10\/20-21<\/a>. It\u2019s presented by the library\u2019s Local Subject Headings task force, which works to make these naming conventions more inclusive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Collections<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Use our <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/recommend-a-purchase\" rel=\"noopener\">Recommend a Purchase form<\/a> to request the library look into purchasing a resource and\/or <a href=\"https:\/\/library.auraria.edu\/services\/borrow-from-other-libraries\" rel=\"noopener\">borrow from other libraries<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Access business-related databases from our <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.auraria.edu\/az\/databases?s=35982\" rel=\"noopener\">Databases List: Education<\/a>. A few\u2026\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/guides.auraria.edu\/az\/apa-psyctests\" rel=\"noopener\">APA PsycTests<\/a> provides access to thousands of psychological and educational tests, measures, scales, surveys, and other assessments.<\/li>\n<li>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.auraria.edu\/az\/clcd\" rel=\"noopener\">Children&#8217;s Literature Comprehensive Database (CLCD)<\/a> you can search for children&#8217;s literature based on reader&#8217;s age, grade, language, author, subject, interest level, reading level, genre, and many other data points.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/guides.auraria.edu\/az\/learntechlib\" rel=\"noopener\">LearnTechLib: The Learning and Technology Library<\/a> includes peer-reviewed international journal articles, dissertations, talks, presentations, and conference papers on the latest research, developments, and applications related to educational technology and e-learning.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/guides.auraria.edu\/az\/teaching-channel\" rel=\"noopener\">The Teaching Channel<\/a> has over 2,000 teaching videos that demonstrate classroom techniques and plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Below is a list highlighting some library services and resources offered by Auraria Library.
