(<a href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/l\/team\/19%3ARDdgG0f2GHnkUBkKSBrCEDY04H5_zaUbMahycY3-8ts1%40thread.tacv2\/conversations?groupId=84250464-7b1b-4417-bb6b-70a70916ba66&amp;tenantId=563337ca-a517-421a-aae0-1aa5b414fd7f\">General | SEHD CC\/DTL AI Initiatives 25-26 | Microsoft Teams<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>What is CU Denver\u2019s stance?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Curriculum discussion with Ester de Jong:<\/p>\n<p>AI:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As a CC lay out the process, we have language to offer the faculty and then who do we need to talk to and request for time for concerned people-program leaders and faculty meeting and share.<\/li>\n<li>CC to lead this conversation with help from DTL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Syllabus Template:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Should we add a required passing grade on the syllabus template?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instructor Approvals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instructor re-appointments with low FCQs:\n<ul>\n<li>Who makes the choice whether a lecturer can teach again?<\/li>\n<li>CC makes the decision (for concerns, connect with the PL to check about coaching).<\/li>\n<li>CC chair to visit with PLs to discuss the re-appointments for low FCQs, justification for why they want to re-hire, coaching steps taken, plan for mentoring, scaffolding, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New Program Proposals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What should we be looking at as we review?<\/li>\n<li>How thorough should the market analysis section? \u2013 when a faculty member proposes a brand-new certificate, concentration etc., it\u2019s their job to say why this is needed, they should do the market intelligence, explain what they learned and why this is needed.<\/li>\n<li>What is the duplication between the PL and CC: what is the true distinction between the two for program proposals.\n<ul>\n<li>It goes to the PL first before CC, a report from PL would be helpful and avoid redundancy.<\/li>\n<li>PL can determine if there is duplication, any red flags-are you already offering something in this area and why replicate, it\u2019s a check.<\/li>\n<li>Work with Sandy for PL minutes or notes back to CC chair about the new proposal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 2.
