Robin Brandehoff, Tom \u201cYiLe\u201d Su, and doctoral students Daranee\u00a0Taychachaiwongse\u00a0Teng, Amie Ha, and John Tran presented at CU Denver\u2019s AANAPISI week on September 25th. Their study,\u00a0<i>Asian Critical Mentoring as a Third Space of Ontological Resistance<\/i>, is a collaborative autoethnography that\u00a0centers three Southeast Asian<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>students and two Asian\/American (AA) faculty at a public university, highlighting the unique obstacles they face and their strategies for overcoming them. Merging case study (Yin, 2014) with\u00a0collaborative autoethnography (Chang et al., 2013), they employ critical discourse analysis (Van<\/p>\n<p>Dijk, 1993) and AsianCrit (Iftikar &amp; Museus, 2018) to examine how racist institutional\u00a0ideologies perpetuate exclusion and influence Asian academic trajectories.
