While diversity, equity and inclusion continue to be discouraged, facing new iterations of standing challenges, First Fridays is an opportunity to enact our commitments to Inclusive Excellence, through community building and action. As reflected in the SEHD meeting calendar, the details are as follows:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Date:<\/strong> Friday, September 5, 2025<\/div>\n<div><strong>Time:<\/strong> 10am-noon<\/div>\n<div><strong>Location:<\/strong> 7th\u00a0Floor Learning Commons area<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The following working groups meet during this time, and all staff and faculty are welcome:<\/div>\n<div>-Discursive Practices &#8211; addressing emergent problems of practice in our professional work<\/div>\n<div>-Community Building and Peacemaking &#8211; developing practices and tools to that support belonging and conflict mediation<\/div>\n<div>-Inclusive Pedagogy &#8211; cultivating tools that support effective SEHD faculty practice<\/div>\n<div>-Data Equity &#8211; a new group, focusing upon developing an equity-orientation to our uses of data in SEHD; this group also will identify research\u00a0opportunities for faculty, staff, and students<\/div>\n<div>Note: B@SEHD &#8211; an affinity group for Black-identifying staff and faculty &#8211; meets on a different date.
