{"id":19837,"date":"2025-03-05T12:30:54","date_gmt":"2025-03-05T19:30:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sehd.ucdenver.edu\/impact\/?p=19837"},"modified":"2025-03-05T12:30:54","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T19:30:54","slug":"student-committee-notes-03-03-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sehd.ucdenver.edu\/impact\/2025\/03\/05\/student-committee-notes-03-03-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Committee Notes (03\/03\/2025)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Student Committee Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>3\/3\/2025 &#8211; 9:30 &#8211; 11:30 am<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Members Present:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rachel Stein, Robin Brandehoff, Elena Sandoval-Lucero, Paula Gallegos, Diana Schaack<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Spring Commencement Outstanding Graduates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BA \u2013 Jennifer Crowley-Petrovic<\/p>\n<p>MA \u2013 Allie Lichota<\/p>\n<p>PhD \u2013 Crystal Luce<\/p>\n<p>PsyD \u2013 Devin Rodriguez<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diana contacted faculty to ask for a BS nominee by EOB on March 4, if they have one.<\/li>\n<li>Diana will create the certificates for the outstanding graduates.<\/li>\n<li>Diana will notify Sandy Mondragon and Rebecca Schell of the awardees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Student Appeal \/ Plans for Updating Student Handbooks and Policies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our review of the appeal to approve another attempt at an MA comprehensive exam revealed many inconsistencies, missing information, and a lack of clear processes for students and faculty.<\/li>\n<li>The committee discussed recommending changes to streamline\/clarify\/improve current policies and processes. These need to be addressed with the Dean and Associate Deans before we can decide on the appeal. The committee composed a message requesting a meeting.<\/li>\n<li>The policy requires that we notify the student of a decision within 30 days of the appeal.
