Remember, your vacation leave is part of your annual compensation package, so if you don\u2019t use it, you\u2019re essentially leaving money on the table! The fiscal year runs from July 1st to June 30th, and vacation time that isn&#8217;t used by June 30, 2025, will be lost during the annual leave sweep. Supervisors are encouraged to support their employees in utilizing their vacation entitlements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vacation Carryover Limits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Full-time University Staff and 12-month Faculty<\/strong>: You can carry over up to 352 hours (44 days) of vacation leave into the next fiscal year. Any balance exceeding this amount will be forfeited during the annual leave sweep.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Classified Staff<\/strong>: Carryover hours depend on your years of service, with policies governed by the Colorado State Personnel Board Rules. This will show your projected leave balance, taking into account your accrual rate and any vacation leave you\u2019ve scheduled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reminder to Use Your Floating Holiday<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you haven\u2019t used your Floating Holiday for fiscal year 2025, don\u2019t wait! Be sure to schedule it before June 30th.
