Are you interested in exploring the transformative potential of Generative AI in higher education?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Would you like dedicated time to focus on integrating AI tools ethically into your teaching practices?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

What if you could do this over a weekend in a beautiful mountain setting, at no cost to you?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

If these opportunities excite you, we have great news! We invite you to join Dennis DeBay & Vivian Shyu for a two-day Generative AI in Higher Education Retreat with your fellow CU Denver IRC Faculty colleagues at the Casa ZooFrida, Bailey, Colorado.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your exploration will be guided by event coordinators Dennis DeBay and Vivian Shyu, Teaching Professors committed to understanding the impact of Generative AI on student learning. The retreat will feature interactive workshops on the ethical integration of AI tools in course curricula, emphasizing inclusivity and equitable access to education.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the weekend, you’ll engage in collaborative course redesign sessions, focusing on skillfully incorporating Generative AI tools into your Spring semester courses. You’ll also contribute to essential DEI data collection, helping assess the program’s effectiveness in enhancing student learning experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Facilitation, accommodation, and meals will be provided through a generous grant from UCDALI and the Provost\u2019s office. Space is limited, so participation is competitive, and attendance for the full 2-day schedule is required.<\/span><\/p>\n

Friday, October 18th, 9:00 am through Saturday, October 19th, 4:00 pm<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants will be informed of acceptance into the retreat by Monday, September 23, 5:00 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n
