GENRAL BUSINESS &amp; REVIEW\/DISCUSSIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Discussion with Deal Lynn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is the committee an advisory or decision making committee<\/li>\n<li>The purpose of the SEM (Strategic Enrollment Management) and Curriculum Committee (CC) regarding decisions on new certificates, concentrations, etc.\n<ul>\n<li>Define roles for next steps for CC and SEM.<\/li>\n<li>What role does the CC play in approving curriculum? Campus governance leaders agree curriculum should be approved by faculty.<\/li>\n<li>CLAS has a laid-out governance structure, would like to review for ideas.<\/li>\n<li>Modify our structure to align with regents\u2019 law.<\/li>\n<li>What will the make-up of the committee look like? There is concern about increasing workloads.<\/li>\n<li>Would like to see other examples from other schools and colleges.<\/li>\n<li>Work on a process over the summer, clarify what we might propose to line up with regents\u2019 governance structures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>II.
