Dr. Crepeau-Hobson completed her doctoral studies at the University of<br \/>\nNorthern Colorado and was a practicing school psychologist for several years before moving into<br \/>\nacademia. She is a licensed psychologist and licensed school psychologist. Dr. Crepeau-Hobson\u2019s<br \/>\nprimary area of research falls under the broad category of school safety \u2013 both in terms of physical<br \/>\nsafety and psychological safety. More specifically, her work focuses on the understanding and<br \/>\nimprovement of school psychological practice in matters related to the prevention and intervention of<br \/>\nschool violence, youth suicide, and crisis response and intervention. Dr. Crepeau-Hobson has been<br \/>\nintentional in the integration of her scholarly work and her service activities with the intent to<br \/>\ncontribute to the existing knowledge base while also providing practitioners with information and tools<br \/>\nthat can foster best practice and positive outcomes. For example, Dr. Crepeau-Hobson is the current<br \/>\nChair of the National Association of School Psychologists School Safety and Crisis Response<br \/>\nCommittee, as well as a member of the Colorado Society of School Psychologists Statewide Crisis<br \/>\nResponse Team. These teams provide comprehensive school-based prevention, intervention, and<br \/>\npostvention crisis resources and services to school districts around the country.
