Dean Marvin Lynn accompanied her throughout the visit. Provost Constancio Nakuma participated in the lunch discussion. Among other things, participants discussed: SEHD\u2019s retention efforts to support diverse candidates; curriculum and embedded clinical experience focused on equity and diversity; and ASPIRE to Teach\u2019s fully remote and highly personalized program.<\/div>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<div>American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education is a teacher education advocacy organization. The organization recently released a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aacte.org\/2022\/12\/new-data-aacte-finds-college-and-university-based-alternative-teacher-preparation-programs-more-effectively-address-educator-shortage-than-alternative-programs-outside-of-higher-ed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>\u00a0that finds that college and university-based alternative teacher preparation programs are highly effective in addressing educator shortages.
