{"id":16346,"date":"2022-09-20T16:43:51","date_gmt":"2022-09-20T22:43:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sehd.ucdenver.edu\/impact\/?p=16346"},"modified":"2022-09-20T16:47:04","modified_gmt":"2022-09-20T22:47:04","slug":"wheres-my-stuff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sehd.ucdenver.edu\/impact\/2022\/09\/20\/wheres-my-stuff\/","title":{"rendered":"Where&#8217;s my stuff!?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We would like to say <strong><em>thank you<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>please<\/em><\/strong>, and <strong><em>sorry<\/em><\/strong> about your stuff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Information Technology &amp; Instructional Design (ITID) team has been backlogged on technology shipping and receiving \u2013 causing extensive delays.\u00a0 The state of the world has caused technology ordering and shipping delays across the country, i.e. supply chains and a deficit of microchips.\u00a0 This has extended delivery timelines up-to 5 months from point of order.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This most directly impacted our many new-hires. Welcome! And so sorry! You should have had a full technology stack waiting for you.\u00a0 We know, and we\u2019re sorry things weren\u2019t 100% ready for you. \u00a0This wasn\u2019t our preference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This also impacts employee computer replacements. We maintain a 4 year computer replacement cycle and budget.\u00a0 Replacements are prioritized based on computer age, i.e. each new budget year, the oldest computers are replaced first. \u00a0If your computer is 4 years old, you are in line and we&#8217;ll be reaching out when it&#8217;s time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All of which needs to be communicated more clearly and openly, so folks understand why the line and the wait are so long. \u00a0\u00a0It is extraordinarily frustrating to lack equipment required for your work. We know, and we\u2019re sorry for the delays.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Thank you<\/em><\/strong> for your patience. \u00a0<strong><em>Please<\/em><\/strong> hold tight and know that we&#8217;re working on it.\u00a0 And, we\u2019re <strong><em>sorry <\/em><\/strong>for the disruption and frustration this generates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We would like to say thank you, please, and sorry about your stuff.
