Please read below for an excerpt from a University communication about campus and office closures and work expectations during inclement weather.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we approach the winter season, we want students, faculty, and staff to know expectations for teaching, learning, and working if campus is affected by inclement weather.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If weather conditions necessitate a closure: <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Faculty and students\u00a0<\/span>
\n A campus closure is applicable to all faculty and students, meaning that both in-person and online classes are canceled for the day. Inclement weather may cause a disruption in communication channels and internet access, and in order to provide a consistent learning experience, all students and faculty will follow closure protocols.<\/span><\/p>\n

Staff\u00a0<\/span>
\n Essential personnel (who are already pre-identified by their departments, such as facilities staff) must report in-person. Staff who ordinarily work on campus do not need to report to campus and do not need to work remotely. <\/span> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Staff who have a remote work agreement in place also do not need to work that day unless instructed to by their supervisor for critical business needs. The university encourages flexibility and equity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0**<\/span>As a reminder to our colleagues who regularly track work hours in addition to leave time, please add administrative leave<\/strong> or regular work time<\/strong> to your timesheet for the snow closure day in order to be paid correctly for that day.<\/p>\n

In the event of a campus closure, delayed start or early dismissal, you will receive a text message and\/or email with current information.
