Gutierrez, a middle school social studies teacher at STRIVE Prep-Sunnyside, has revamped her curriculum to center LGBTQ themes in history.<\/p>\n<p>She started the project while she was in ASPIRE to Teach and focused on it for her capstone unit plan assignment.
