class=\"h3 \">Geeta Verma and her new platform, LivedX, recently featured in Forbes Next 1000 List<\/h3>\n<div class=\"row post-body\">\n<div id=\"post-content\" class=\"col-12\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n<p>CU Denver STEM Education Professor Geeta Verma has\u00a0been\u00a0empowering women and minorities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields through her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.ucdenver.edu\/thinking-stem-career-boys-and-girls-club-engages-in-education-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Science Foundation grant<\/a>\u00a0and other research activities.\u00a0Verma\u00a0has embarked on a new journey and founded\u00a0a new online platform called LivedX<sup>TM<\/sup>.\u00a0The platform\u00a0leverages machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI)\u00a0technologies\u00a0to accelerate opportunities for minoritized and marginalized youth.\u00a0LivedX\u00a0was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/profile\/geeta-verma\/?list=next-1000&amp;sh=2c375b604e83\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recently included in Forbes Next 1000 List<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div professor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Growing up in India,\u00a0Verma\u00a0recognized the glaring educational and economic disparities in the society.\u00a0This\u00a0and her STEM education work\u00a0became her motivation to develop\u00a0LivedX, an aspirational tool used to\u00a0reduce\u00a0some of these disparities by valuing the lived experiences of all youth, especially the minoritized and marginalized, into formal academic credentials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u00a0envisioned\u00a0LivedX after talking to students, educators, and administrators who\u00a0are\u00a0working hard to get high school and college students to graduate,\u201d said Verma.<\/p>\n<p><a
