The university joins\u00a0five\u00a0other\u00a0grantees\u00a0that have established\u00a0partnerships\u00a0between institutions of higher education (IHE),\u00a0states or Tribal Nations that will bolster early educator preparation programs,\u00a0bring greater coherence\u00a0to teacher preparation policy,\u00a0break down systemic barriers to education for people of color, and increase financial assistance and compensation for students studying to be early educators.<\/p>\n<p>With the funds,\u00a0CU Denver\u00a0will\u00a0facilitate a\u00a0consortium\u00a0of IHEs in Colorado that fosters systems to\u00a0address access to quality degrees, engages in research related to\u00a0early care and education\u00a0(ECE)\u00a0workforce preparation,\u00a0and\u00a0influences policy change within and across multiple state agencies specific to teacher credentialing and licensure,\u00a0credit transfer,\u00a0credit for prior learning, and compensation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.ucdenver.edu\/school-of-education-human-development-receives-2-33-million-grant\/\">Read the full article on CU Denver News<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The money will be used to facilitate a consortium of institutions of higher education, and to influence state policy reform, to dismantle barriers in Colorado\u2019s early educator preparation system.
