Please read on for some excerpts from an email from Lauren Fontana, Director of Affirmative Action Programs, Office of Equity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dear Faculty and Staff,<\/span>
\n\u00a0 <\/span>
\n We aspire to create an inclusive culture and workplace for all employees. One important piece of our efforts in doing so is knowing who makes up our workforce. Federal regulations require federal contractors, including CU, to invite employees to confidentially disclose certain demographic information about themselves.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to both better understand our workforce and meet our federal obligations, we are inviting you to <\/span>voluntarily<\/span><\/b> update your veteran, disability, race\/ethnicity, and gender information through the employee portal.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To <\/span>ensure<\/span> accurate federal reporting, we request that if you choose to disclose or update this information <\/span>at this time<\/span>, you do so by May 1, 2021.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To voluntarily update your status:<\/span> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Please log on to the <\/span>Employee Portal<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. If you are not taken there by default, navigate to \u201cCU Resources\u201d screen<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Under the \u201cCU Resources Home\u201d menu, choose \u201cMy Info and <\/span>Pay<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Click on the \u201cMy Info\u201d tile<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. To update your race\/ethnicity information, click on \u201cEthnic <\/span>Groups<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. To update your disability status, click on \u201c<\/span>Disability<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. To update your veteran status, click on \u201cVeteran <\/span>Status<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. To verify your gender information, click on \u201cAdditional Information\u201d and complete the second level of <\/span>authentication<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. If the information listed for \u201cGender\u201d is incorrect or missing, contact your department or school Human Resources representative to update the <\/span>information<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
