With the support of the Office of the Provost, we have funds to cover the cost to faculty of hiring undergraduates with work-study awards for Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 EUR\u0113CA! Work-Study positions.<\/p>\n
Currently, over 2500 CU Denver students qualify for work-study, a form of need-based financial aid that allows undergraduates to earn up to $3000 each semester.\u00a0\u00a0 We often picture work-study jobs as mundane \u2013 manning a desk at the gym, for example.\u00a0 Great for paying the bills, but in many cases not contributing significantly to professional development.\u00a0 However, work-study student assistants can get paid to perform any of variety of career-relevant tasks in most disciplines, while also contributing to your scholarship!\u00a0 \u00a0Mentors from both CU Denver and CU Anschutz Medical Campus are invited to participate.<\/p>\n
As such, we are writing to invite you to participate in the EUR\u0113CA! Work-Study Program, where faculty create content-rich work-study\u00a0jobs\u00a0for undergraduates in any discipline.\u00a0 Your positions will be promoted to undergraduates who will be provided a brief orientation and professional development opportunities (e.g., resume writing, professionalism, safety).\u00a0 One more great thing \u2014 if you hire a work-study student assistant, you only pay 25 cents on the dollar, with the federal government covering the rest.\u00a0 The best part?\u00a0 We have funds to cover that 25 percent for\u00a0~50 faculty interested in participating during the Summer 2018 and\/or Fall 2018 Semesters.<\/p>\n
