We\u2019re getting some questions from students and faculty about the DRP process, timelines, permissions, etc. While the info is \u201cout there\u201d in handbooks, workshop materials from fall semester, and update memos I\u2019ve sent out as we\u2019ve gotten more info from districts, etc., I thought it would be helpful to develop a current \u201cFAQ Sheet\u201d to put everything that may be unclear into one document. The FAQ Sheet includes details on permissions needed, timelines (there are NO formally set timelines\u2026 but there are clear recommendations based on when you need permissions), and a NEW REQUIREMENT for students to track their work if it is connected to any school, district, or state agency (including charter schools\u2026 this is to help us meet the new state data privacy law requirements).<\/p>\n

\nStudents\u2014it has come to our attention that many are still not clear on the appropriate processes for the THREE levels of approval which must happen\u2014in the correct order\u2014to permit you to start to collect data for your DRP. Failing to get these approvals may result in your DRP not being acceptable to the graduate school, meaning you\u2019ll need a new DRP. To my knowledge, NO ONE in the cohort 7 group (currently designing their DRP studies) has been approved to start their DRP work\u2026 if you hear otherwise, have those individuals contact me immediately, please.<\/p>\n
