The Faculty Council Women\u2019s Committee welcomes proposals from the CU community centered on this year\u2019s theme: \u201cEmpowered Women, Empowering CU\u201d. The committee is seeking knowledgeable and dynamic proposals that address the professional interests of CU women faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>We invite proposals that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>address the interests and concerns of CU women faculty and staff and broader educational\/professional-development issues related to women in academia and beyond<\/li>\n<li>stimulate and provoke discussion and audience engagement<\/li>\n<li>present evidence based on or supported by research<\/li>\n<li>target new, mid-career and seasoned faculty and staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each proposal must include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Title and summary of presentation (100 words or less)<\/li>\n<li>Brief description of proposed topic and how it relates to the theme &#8220;Empowered Women, Empower CU\u201d<\/li>\n<li>One to three specific learning objectives for participants<\/li>\n<li>Time block preference (indicate preference for 45 or 90 minutes)<\/li>\n<li>Contact information of primary presenter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The submission deadline is December 8, 2017. Presenters will be notified via email by mid-December.
