– Presented by Dr. Kendell Daughtry, candidate for Assistant Professor of Family Diversity and Social Justice in Human Development & Family Relations (HDFR), Tenure Track 

A review of Kendell Daughtry’s research experience using his training and skills to conduct original studies. From his first study examining the relationship between colorblind attitude and activism in young adults, to a mixed-methods study examining and exploring how Black Virgin Island high schoolers perceive they matter to their school. The presentation will also include where he currently is in his research process and his future goals.   

A brief bio for Dr. Kendell Daughtry: Dr. Kendell Daughtry is a first-generation college graduate. His Ph.D. is in Human Development and Family Sciences. He has created and redeveloped courses on race, justice and families that have been taught at multiple universities and continues to conduct original research. His recent research was a mixed methods study on Black Virgin Island high schoolers and how they perceive they matter to their school. He has developed programs that meet the needs of marginalized communities in the Virgin Islands and the University of Delaware.
