Change to Performance Evaluation Cycle

Our campus HR office has announced a CU system-wide change to the University Staff (a.k.a. exempt staff) and PRA performance evaluation cycle.

Effective immediately, the University Staff and PRA evaluation period will change from 4/1 – 3/31 to the calendar year.  As a result, the current evaluation period will be only nine months (4/1/14 – 12/31/14).  Obviously, this may impact your ability to meet some of your work goals on your current professional plan.  Please review your current professional plan and discuss with your supervisor (and document) any possible adjustments.  Please submit any amended professional plans to

Performance evaluations and scoring sheets will now be due to SEHD HR on the last business day of February each year.  We will send out the usual timeline information for performance evaluations, but now this will come to you in January.  Basically, all of the timeline dates will just move back by two months.

Classified Staff evaluation cycles will remain 4/1/14 – 3/31/15 with fully signed originals due to SEHD HR by 4/30/15.  Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks.

These changes will not affect the timing of merit increases. Merit increases will still be on the fiscal year (July 1).
