TEACHER RESOURCE PICK OF THE MONTH

Resource Area for Teaching

http://www.raftcolorado.org/

I’ve posted this once before last year, but just think the place is so AWESOME that I had to post again. After visiting to drop off some of my past classroom supplies, I was just stunned at the many types of unique supplies and ideas that this place has to offer not to mention meeting space for informal professional development and workshops. And it’s environmentally friendly! If you haven’t visited, check this place out for your current internships or future jobs in the classroom!

Spotlights:

Parr Elementary and the Tee-Shirt Project

The 5933 TCs at Parr have been at it again!  This time they took on the Student Council Tee-shirt project!
In order to help the students feel they belonged to something important, Susie Schnieder and Kareena Romeroteamed up to create a way for them to show off their creativity while creating a special Tee-shirt. Needless to say, the Monica Dewitt and Cassidy Blevins pitched right in! So, Thursday morning, March 7th the Art Room was a buzz with enthusiastic Student Council Members and bustling TCs! The result was magical; the pride and sense of community was palpable. It was a day to remember!!

Meredith

Robby Novak first dressed up as “Kid President” as a silly way to promote a Dec. 7th benefit dinner at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn., featuring former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
